Local Activities

Meander along the Glenn Hwy National Scenic Byway, paralleling the Matanuska River to its headwaters at Majestic Valley Lodge. Once at 3000 feet in the Tahneeta Pass, Majestic Valley Lodge is nestled between the Talkeetna and Chugach Mountains.  The narrow mountain pass corridor offers numerous activities during the summer and winter. Summer Activities
From mid-May through September visitors may river raft, hike on the many mountainous trails, trek on the Matanuska Glacier, flight see, or view wildlife.

Winter Activities
From mid-November through April cross country ski on over 20 K of groomed trails, snowmobile on miles of trails or untracked powder, snow shoe, fly-in for back-country skiing, or view the nothern lights.
