Majestic Valley has hosted weddings, family retreats, corporate retreats, tour groups, photography groups, car clubs, painting clubs, motorcycle groups, and office parties from 6 people to 225. This highway accessible lodge has all the modern conveniences in a wilderness setting.

The spacious hand scribed log lodge may seat up to about 125 people in the dining area and lounge. The covered porch offers an area for additional seating in the summer months. Larger groups over 125 enjoy buffet style service in a stand up style reception.

The large, open dining room with wood floor is ideal for bands, DJ’s, and power point or slide projection presentations.

Majestic Valley can accommodate 42 people with triple occupancy in the 8 Glacier Hall Rooms, 4 Lodge Rooms, and 2 Cabins. Please go to the reservations tab for the bed dynamics in each room or cabin. If your group exceeds the sleeping capacity of Majestic Valley, we recommend that overflow may be booked at Tundra Rose Guest Cottages, Sheep Mountain Lodge, Matanuska Lodge, Long Rifle Lodge or Eureka Lodge. They are all within the Glacier View Community between 2 and 20 miles from Majestic Valley Lodge.

Wedding ceremonies may take place in various locations on the property: dining room, covered porch, or outside on the grass lawn. We have even had groups that have gotten married on the Matanuska Glacier with a reception following at Majestic Valley Lodge. Wild flowers, trees, flower gardens, and hanging flower baskets adorn the natural mountainous backdrop.

An arbor is available for the wedding ceremony site, as is 50 white folding chairs. More chairs may be rented from Valley Rentals. Alaska Bride & Groom, a biannual bridal magazine publication also has a website with some great tips and contacts.

Rental of Majestic Valley Lodge Dining Room
NO CHARGE – if all lodge rooms and cabins are booked for two nights.
$600 – if all lodge rooms and cabins are booked for one night.
$800 – if no rooms are booked

Rental Includes
Exclusive use of the lodge floor space, including the dining room, lounge, 2 guest bathrooms, and covered porch. Use of tables and chairs.

Catering Includes
Use of white cloth napkins and silver napkin rings (125 max – additional will be rented)
White plates (appetizer, salad, main course, dessert) (125 max – additional will be rented)
Flatware (salad fork, dinner fork, spoon, knife) (125 max – additional will be rented)
Wine and water glasses (125 max – additional will be rented)
Champagne flutes (200 max – additional will be rented)
Beer Mugs (30 max – additional will be rented or served in clear plastic tumblers)

For events not requiring the dining implements listed above, nice disposable products may be used. For example: A wedding and reception in August of 2008 for 200 we used clear plastic plates for finger foods, clear plastic beer cups, clear plastic wine glasses, and white paper napkins.

Centerpieces for Tables
Most bridal parties facilitate their own center pieces. Large water buckets for flower storage, and some vases available for use.

Some parties have also brought in candles (must have votives), place cards, photographs, table runners in bride’s colors, guest book, and little guest gifts.

Wedding Cake
Majestic Valley does not make wedding cakes. We do wonderful desserts if a cake is not your style. We recommend the following businesses for wedding cakes: An Appetizing Affair offers and alternative to cake, Chocolate Fountains. Superstar Pastry and Confectioners Studio both create brilliant wedding cakes.

You may choose to assign a family member to cut your cake and serve it on paper plates and plastic forks, or we would be happy to take the task off your hands. Cake service, including a white plate, dessert fork, and Majestic Valley staff cutting and serving the cake, is $1 per serving.

Beer, Wine, and Champagne
Majestic Valley Lodge has a Beer and Wine Liquor License. We can get any beer, wine, sparkling wine, or champagne product you desire, including kegs.

Food
The dynamics of the reception and food items selected dictates the cost. If you are interested in booking an event please contact Jodi Talcott for a detailed list of food items we have served in the past. Then based on an estimated guest count, Jodi will provide an estimate for the event.

Gratuity for groups of 50 and over is 20% added to the invoice. Groups from 6-49 people, 15% is added to the invoice. If you would like references from past events, Jodi Talcott will provide them upon request.
