The hand crafted log lodge, newly constructed in 2001, features all of the modern amenities in an Alaskan mountain setting. Experience the serene Alaskan wilderness amidst the Chugach and Talkeetna mountain ranges. The unique dining room is ideal for large group gatherings of up to 100 people. Wildlife and wilderness define the Chugach and Talkeetna Mountains which surround Majestic Valley Wilderness Lodge. The quiet wilderness and accessibility to mountain trails makes this Alaskan Lodge a pristine getaway. You will appreciate viewing animals in their natural habitat and hiking in this geologically spectacular area. The Majestic basin is home to a variety of animals. Adjacent to the lodge is the Gunsight mountain Dall Sheep Reserve. Watch rams traverse rocky ravines. Hike close to ewes and their young feeding in mountain pastures. Moose frequent the wooded trails, as do coyote, wolf, ptarmigan, owl, and occasionally bear. The Nelchina caribou heard migrates north of the lodge. The foliage and tundra on the mountain sides turn vibrant colors. Guests enjoy picking plump mountain blueberries and taking in the northern lights. Majestic Valley is spectacular both in the summer and winter. Separate trails for cross country skiing and snowmobiling are groomed for the winter outdoor enthusiasts.
